Bill RICE III - Eagle Capital Financial Advisors

Bill Rice III, CPM

Founding Partner, Managing Director & CEO, Private Wealth Advisor

Bill’s career has spanned more than 30 years, an impressive length of time only surpassed by how long he has lived in Longview. This is where he was born and raised – and subsequently brought up his own children. As a native son, his love of Longview ranks right up there with God and country.

Throughout his career, Bill has been dedicated to providing his clients with the ability to move through each phase of their lives with confidence, independence and financial dignity. He enjoys communicating with them and engaging in meaningful conversations. “I’m a good listener and a stickler for detail,” Bill says. “This enables me to define and maintain a financial path for our clients that addresses each phase of their financial livelihood.”

In addition to his warm and caring demeanor, Bill also has a strong analytical side. He utilizes his extensive research capabilities and portfolio management experience to create and manage investment allocations for his individual and institutional clients.

In 2016, Bill received the Certified Portfolio Manager designation from Columbia University and the Academy of Certified Portfolio Managers. The designation is earned after completing a rigorous self-study program and a week of classroom training at Columbia University, which culminates with passing a final exam. He currently serves on the board of directors of the organization.

Prior to founding Eagle Capital Advisors with his father and his son in 2019, Bill held several leadership positions at Morgan Stanley and its predecessor firms, including first vice president, senior portfolio manager, senior investment management specialist and branch manager.

With a strong work ethic, he devotes each day to the important tasks of discretionary portfolio management and the multigenerational, tax-efficient transfer of wealth that is so essential to affluent families.

Bill believes in giving back to the community that has given so much to him. He serves on the board of the Gregg County Historical Museum and 100 Acres of Heritage for the City of Longview, The Academy of Certified Portfolio Managers at Columbia University and as a director of the Paisano Baptist Encampment. He previously served on the boards of the Kilgore College Foundation, Opera East Texas and The Portfolio Management Institute at Morgan Stanley.

Bill is an accomplished musician who earned an associate’s degree in fine arts from Kilgore College before continuing his studies at Baylor University, where he received a BBA in finance and private enterprise/entrepreneurship.

Bill enjoys daily life here in Longview with his wife, Judy. They have two grown children, Chelsea and William, who co-founded Eagle Capital Advisors. In his free time, Bill enjoys traveling and also indulging his musical passion by singing and playing guitar.
